Bild Monasteries, monks, Buddha and the Dalai Lama - the symbol of a culture that we as a trend objects are well known. A trend, which many people blindly follow. And so interesting, but he promises the making of the permanent center and inner balance. And it is not exactly what we are looking for? Incense, soothing scents, Buddha figurines, decorative, calming sounds, a bit of yoga, something evening Asia table to eat and that's the harmony produced? Something good will and to do as little as possible - minimal effort, maximum return. Unfortunately, it is exactly what many people think. And this trend to believe that it could be a few Buddha figures in the corner, a few times "OM" call, with scents einräuchern and get get enlightenment, has in our society, unfortunately, very common. But Buddhism is much more than that!

So what's behind this trend?

This issue will be the basis of the country Tibet answered. It was at this point also noted that there are different branches of Buddhism, and that until now many people on the basis of this belief in numerous countries.

Tibet - The roof of the world
Bild
A country which has been proven in 4500 m above the Himalayan Mountains and thus extends to the highest region of the world, with that out of consideration for its religious significance, previously unbestiegenen 6714 m high holy Kailash Mountain and a wide variety of untouched, partially banned Landscape.

The official introduction of Buddhism in Tibet is in the period around 970 AD. Its origins, however, the Buddhism in northern India, where the start of the Buddhist era to the year 543 BC is laid.

Buddhism, a lesson that continues throughout life. One lesson, the highest concentration and more self-discipline. It is based on the four noble truths, which says:

1st Truth of suffering:
Life in general circulation is ultimately leidvoll. This is to understand.
2nd Truth of the cause of suffering:
The causes of suffering, greed, hatred and blindness. They are to be overcome.
3rd Truth of the lifting of suffering:
Lapse of the causes, extinguish the suffering. This is a reality.
4th Truth of the way to lifting the suffering:
Back to the cessation of suffering, a way of the eight noble path. He is to go.

One could say that this is the shortest expression of the entire teaching of Buddha and also a compilation of all faiths directions within Buddhism. In order to lifting the suffering to know is talk of the eight path. This reads as follows:

Bild 1st Rights view
2nd Right thinking
3rd Speech rights
4th Rights act
5th Right Life acquisition
6th Rights effort
7th Rights Awareness
8th Concentration rights

The meaning of life is thus the "awakening", the highest goal of Buddhism. This means that the purity and perfection of his mind and so a limitless development of all "own" potential to gain: perfect wisdom, infinite compassion, complete serenity. But only by understanding the four noble truths can obtain this goal.

When the Tibetans since it is always a way of salvation, the sacred mountain Kailash to orbit. 53 km long and painful their arduous journey in which the Tibetans in a repetitive ritual always on the floor, mutter prayers and then back up. It is, who once encircled the mountain, which are the sins for a life. The more you stress this assumes, the more life sündenfrei - Past, and perhaps even future. And their faith is so strong that it is almost self-understood that each of them at least once in his life surrounded this mountain.

What is the true life, as Buddhist in Tibet, until the year 1951 free country, which was then violently by the Chinese has been captured and that with thousands of people dead and destroyed as many monasteries had to pay? Even today, almost 60 years later, the Dalai Lama lives, the religious head of Tibet, with the ban to enter Tibet, in exile in India, where he fled 1959. Since Tibet is a land of hunger, poverty and oppression, manned by military groups in China. Child labour here belongs to the agenda, the education of Tibetan children is little value. The public Auslebung of Buddhism by the Chinese government prohibited, as is the freedom of expression. Regularly flee therefore especially many children alone on the arduous path of the Himalayas to India. They were away from their parents in order to exercise a better life. Money for a flight of the entire family does not exist. There is work in Tibet is enough, eventually the Chinese want a better infrastructure for their own needs, but the people earn only about € 2.00 a day. Thus, for example, felt by the Chinese monasteries destroyed by the Tibetans to a pittance rebuilt and a fixed number of monks under the supervision inhabited so that the source of tourism for the Chinese government is firmly established.

Bild The Dalai Lama said in an interview: "The ban on the public to live Buddhism, the government has the exact opposite of the effect of what they actually wanted to achieve. The Tibetans hold more than ever to their faith. You can determine a person, but not about what he feels and what he deeply believes in his heart. "

So how is the opinion of this trend, which we unthinkingly and without much background knowledge to follow?

Can we really agree with our belief that hundreds of thousands of Tibetans, imprisoned in their own country, a life full of fear, poverty and oppression, while we look for a day or a few yoga exercises? As we justify the "fancy" Buddha figures in our apartment, when these same people for the Auslebung their faith and due to be punished under its greatest agony on her head, the Dalai Lama to India and flee into exile on their way Unterkühlungen strong, sometimes even the death suffer?

Is it really a trend, which one readily connect?

A topic that is stimulating to think ...
